Before you hastily remove WARZONES : ASSAULT ATTACK, feel free to post a comment on the Nexus – there may be an answer to your issue… and that answer may benefit other users.
Please feel free to share your PAPYRUS LOG with us if you are having problems with WZAA. Note that you MUST set your WARZONES DEBUG LEVEL to 2 in order for us to see all the messages and to better help.

UNINSTALL : If you simply don’t like WARZONES : ASSAULT ATTACK , that’s a bummer – this is how you UNINSTALL properly.
WARZONES : ASSAULT ATTACK may be removed from your game while still keeping WARZONES : CIVIL UNREST!
This is not as complicated as it may initially appear and should take you no time at all.
Phase ONE : Removing any WZAA SPECIFIC ARMOR or WEAPONS you’ve picked up along the way
1 – Remove ALL armor and weapons that you may have picked up from WZAA NPCs from your inventory
2 – You may sell them or drop them elsewhere, but be sure not to have them when you continue to Phase Two. If you have them in inventory when you remove the mod, you may end up with a non-fatal error, so better safe than sorry.
Phase TWO : Removing WARZONES : ASSAULT ATTACK from the save:
1 – Go into an INTERIOR that is NOT part of WZAA (why? WZAA impacts no interior spaces so it’s simply safer)
2 – SAVE
3 – Exit Game
4 – Uninstall WARZONES : ASSAULT ATTACK
5 – Load Game
6 – Open MCM to ensure WZAA MCM no longer appears, if it does, close MCM and Wait 6 seconds before opening again.
7 – Close MCM
8 – SAVE
Phase THREE : Removing all of the old scripts.
By way of explanation, the goal is to remove any and all references to WZAA in your save-game while making backups along the way (this actually seems to work nicely with other scripted mods as well, so if you’ve got a save with a ton of leftover scripts from mods you’ve uninstalled in the past 3 years, this is a great time to clean those out also. Clues to what may remain in your Save will be in your Papyrus log in the form of either straight up errors or warnings.) This may seem like overkill, but I’m of the “better safe than sorry” mindset.
2 – Run PDT wrapper and open your SAVE GAME (Select ESS)
3 – Click REMOVE UNATTACHED INSTANCES
4 – When that process is complete, click TERMINATE ACTIVE THREADS
5 – Once that is complete, you may quit
6 – A new SAVE GAME called EDIT_xxxxx (where xxx is the date) will be created keeping your original save-game safe.
7 – Exit SAVEGAME SCRIPT SCALPEL – don’t forget to endorse it!
9 – Run SAVE GAME SCRIPT CLEANER and OPEN (top right) the cleaned SAVE (remember, it will be titled EDIT_xxx – NOT Save ###)
10 – Once open, click FIXSCRIPTINSTANCES
11 – Now, enter “WZA” into the filter box in the SCRIPTS section (top left)
1 – A number of “sections” will be displayed and you will see some or all of these : Scripts, Script Instances, Active Scripts, Function Messages, Suspended Stack, WaitOffsets, UpdateOffsets
2 – Select SCRIPTS then click DELETE SELECTED
3 – Select SCRIPT INSTANCES then click DELETE SELECTED
4 – Select ACTIVE SCRIPTS (if shown) then click DELETE SELECTED
5 – Select any other ‘section’ and DELETE SELECTED if able Clear the filter box, then retype “WZ”. It should now be empty. This is a great time to remove any other scripts from any other mods that you no longer have.
6 – Select SAVE AS (top right) and name your file as you like OR Select SAVE and it will overwrite the file called “EDIT_xxx” made by SCRIPT SCALPEL
7 – You may exit SAVE GAME SCRIPT CLEANER – don’t forget to endorse it!
12 – Open SKYRIM
13 – Load your CLEANED SAVE
14 – Wait 31 days to fully clear refs and cells (why? This is the reset time for all cells in Skyrim so it’s simply safer to let the whole gameworld reset itself.)
Note: waiting in TFC mode will significantly reduce realtime wait. remember to undo TFC before saving.
15 – SAVE
16 – Exit Game (WZAA should now be purged entirely from your save game.)
